Luke’s research interests are biogeochemistry with a focus on the marine carbonate system
Luke’s work ranges from the collection of CO2 measurements at sea, laboratory analysis, data management/backup, quality control and lastly the development of a machine learning product that estimates surface ocean pCO2 from satellite and reanalysis data. He has a strong interest in intersecting the fields of data science and oceanography. With a strong affinity for programming, Luke has created a number of tools in Python that are designed to streamline the processing of CO2 data and other measurements from their raw output to being ready for publication.
